Our surgical masks do not stop viruses. I wear one at work all day too and hate the damn things. Microbiologist/virologist/covid testing lab.

Wearing a seatbelt should be my choice because it only affects (not effects) me.

If masking is mandatory, N95 or higher masks are the the only ones that can stop a virus particle.

@genesimmons Wearing masks were appropriate in the beginning of the pandemic to prevent hospitals being overrun. To slow things down. But now we need to take them off and let our amazing bodies make antibodies to the virus. The masks only make us hypoxic and grouchy at this point.
