@Boomstik45@Hawksfan200 A sign and trade is the only way the Lakers can get him and that requires at least a 3 year deal. It would aldo be much lower than JK wants to sign for. He's waiting to see if someone else makes a better offer. Meanwhile the Hawks want a good deal too. Problematic all around.
@TheRealMayorBCC@Trigg3100 Onsi was trying to land Kessler and Heild was going to be a useful outgoing matching salary but then the Lakers showed up last minute and overpayed for WK. It happens. Sometimes the calculated risks don't pan out.
@Purpl3andGold@LADEig Actually the Hawks roster is overfilled by a spot. The Lakers got to find a team willing to take Kispert or Heild along with a Lakers second rounder. Good luck!
@Los_LakersBR@BTRowland@LockedOnHawks The rumored amount is $10m over 2 years. It is not clear where the Lakers can find that cap space. Furthermore the Hawks can match that pretty easily. If only the Lakers could take Kispert then a sign and trade might be possible.
@redrock_bball The Vegas Summer League games are not available live on League Pass. To watch the Vegas games requires multiple streaming services that I just turned off. I'm gonna pass on them.
@PDSbball@ceejaytalksball Whatevs. All I know is that the Hawks have been much more entertaining to watch since Dyson showed up. I've trusted the process since Onsi took over and I'm willing to watch this core try to improve some more this season. I sure hope Quin embraces development this season.
@Atlsportsp11499@Grant_Shirley4 Brad wasn't looking to replace 1 baf contract with 3 of them. Meanwhile Onsi is not looking for a player who doesn't play team ball. This was not happening on many different levels.
@ttttttTodd@BTRowland If either Giannis or Leonard were willing to play in Atlanta, Onsi could have made it happen. If the team continues to make progress on the court some major talent will eventually want to play in Atlanta as a way to make a run at the title.
@OriginalBip@Trigg3100 You must be presuming the Hawks have Landale signed but he is not. They need another big body as Eli and Henri are too green to rely upon and Zuby, Asa and Mo all are stop gaps at center.
@tedlinko@BKSecretsports@ShamsCharania Yep. Hawks will throw in a useless trading right and/or some cash and use a trade exception to forgo matching salaries.
