Although tonight’s result was not the one we wanted, the character shown by everyone connected with the club is something we are incredibly proud of, and we will move forward together.
Last nights semi final result brings a disappointing end to our cup campaign, but as a club we want to place on record our immense pride in our players, management, and supporters following an extremely difficult and unusual situation over the past few weeks.
Every player gave absolutely everything for the badge, and they deserve enormous credit for the way they handled themselves throughout this entire process.
Despite the obvious disappointment and frustration, our players agreed to replay the fixture and represented the club with honesty, professionalism, and tremendous commitment last night.
Clubs should be able to rely on clear and accurate guidance from competition officials, particularly at such an important stage of the season. Unfortunately, that did not happen here, and both teams were placed in a very difficult position as a result.

While we fully respect the authority of the competition and the importance of rules being applied correctly, it is impossible to ignore how avoidable and embarrassing this situation has been for everyone involved.
