Having my morning coffee, watching the news. Club Q in Colorado. Over and above the horror, senseless violence and hatred, I am struck by another element. Among the dead were, as one would expect, several LGBTQ individuals.

That the crowd was a mix of gay and straight people, all welcomed and enjoying each other’s company , is a testament to the atmosphere that the owners and employees of Club Q apparently have fostered over the past 20 years.
