@CWolfPGH MLB umpires have been awful this year. And when they get it wrong they double and triple down on being tough guys who like to flex that they are in charge.
@Pirates At some point, assuming you are taking this season seriously, you have to actually try to get real, actual grown ups in the bullpen. The 12u arms currently in the pen ain't getting it done.
@Jason_Shetler He's been bad. No doubt. But he's been exactly who he has been for 5 out of his 6 MLB seasons. For this org to think he was going to be a key piece to it BP is a major indictment on their baseball common sense.
@Mikey5Aces Overall, with the starting pitching talent and the offensive pieces in place this team could be contender if GM would sure up BP and it had a competent game manager coaching it. As it stands now though it likely ends up around .500 give or take 5 games.
@Mikey5Aces Coaching is brutal. I appreciate DK not being afraid to stand up for his team but his in game decisions are brutal. Poor at managing pitchers, no real rhyme or reason to that either, the Triolos & Yorkes of the world make their way into the lineup too often.
@KDPomp Don Kelly has it all figured out. Nobody need to question the journeyman utility player who has, at no point, proven he has the brain capacity to coach an MLB team.
@1992Pirates Two things that are quite astonishing from this:
1. Jim Leyland's contact with Eric Gregg would have landed him prison time in today's game.
2. Leyland was 46 years old in the video...
