We have paid over $500,000 to our NCAT compulsory appointed strata in special levies. Our strata have also taken out a line of credit for an additional $500,000 and have just raised another special levy for $180,000 due this April. All this for a 2 Lot Strata that has no orders.

@NSWLawReform At present a NCAT compulsory appointed strata have no obligation to maintain transparency in any of their financial dealings of Owners Corporation funds. An opportunity to exploit Owners Corporations out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. All within legislation.

I write to you with regard to our dire situation and the desperate need for legislative reform with reference to the powers afforded to strata companies through the limitations of government bodies, including NCAT.
This is all done within current legislation.
I ask the honourable Attorney General Michael Daley to intervene in our matter and to work toward reforming legislation that currently empowers Strata Managers to exploit Lot Owners to extreme detrimental levels.

I hear your pain @jocoopermusic it’s baffling to think there has been no legislation reform as yet on the entire strata management industry. So many stories of clear abuses of power from Strata Managers. The strata nightmare is common knowledge, yet it continues!
🚨 We have been left in financial ruin by our strata manager. https://t.co/U3DYaoNYiR $138k on legal costs, $440k for "URGENT" works, no progress in 12 months. Legal but WRONG! Join me in demanding reform: @NCATNSW @FairTradingNSW @michaeldaleyMP@MarjorieSOneill🚨
