@bartoncreeth How is cricket the resistance? The Afghanistan Cricket Board has been infiltrated by the Taliban. They control cricket in Afghanistan. You have it totally wrong
@BarkatKhattak1@sajsonite Unfortunetly this is not the case at all. Members of the Taliban sit on the Afghanistan Cricket Board. They literally control cricket in the country. There is no Women’s team anymore. They have been in exile for years.
Ireland should refuse to play Israel. You don’t share a pitch with a genocidal state and call it sport. Forfeit the 6 points. Rally the world. Embarrass UEFA.
"I think cancelling this fixture, boycotting this fixture...I think it would be an act of respect to the players.
The most powerful politicians in this country give statements, they're ineffective and useless. This would be an act.
Action of some kind is surely required."

Simple rules can easily replace the starring system. It doesn’t need to be complicated. Irish/Super Series players=Div 1. Irish rep=Div2 and above. A few other rules on top of that and you’ve got a better system already.
🧵Having a big bash player playing in the Women’s Div2 causes a major issue, but it’s about how other players get treated differently in the same league. Every season, several players get forced to move up to a higher level by CL because they are ‘too good’ for Div2
TERENURE WOMEN IN KILDARE!
Phenomenal (likely record-breaking score & partnership)!
@TerenureCC Women vs @nkcricket Women in @edsports2000 Division 2!
320/0 off 20 overs (Sarah Prendergast 147*, Sophie Reid 143*)!🏏👏
A recent example. Laura Delany is sadly injured and out for a good while so comes out of the starrings. So some poor kid has to now move up to Div1 for the rest of the season. There’s a much higher chance of her quitting the sport. All because someone got injured 🤯🤬
I hate this narrative. Shaming people who feel that the killing of tens of thousands of innocent children doesn't warrant a protest. The very least that should happen is a very large protest. And the support of the Irish players has nothing to do with it
Heimir Hallgrímsson has urged the public to support his Republic of Ireland players rather than protest against the Uefa Nations League games with Israel later this year. https://t.co/pQGbMVFxnr
@etplofficial@RDockersetpl If you actually knew anything about European cricket, you would know that the main issue is the lack of apetite for cricket. There's an opportunity here for the ETPL to be honest about the state of play and make a go at fixing it, but lying about it wont make you any fans
...from access-reliant journalists and agents who moonlight as pundits up through national administrators that co-own leagues or franchises all the way up to the ICC CEC and Board. If everybody is conflicted, does it even matter anymore? Certainly nobody seems to care.
@BdJcricket spot on. Nobody cares anymore. entertainment trumps everything else. No morals. No accountability. No future building. Cricket as we knew it, is doomed
