Two weeks ago, I wrote a column about Richard Bilkszto, a former TDSB principal who sued the school board after he was harassed in a DEI training session.
He passed last week. I'm shocked. What a tragic loss. My heart goes out to his loved ones.
Note: this morning, at 5am, while most Ontarians were sleeping, @fordnation was at Queens Park for an "emergency session", overriding the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and trampling on workers rights. This is what dictators do! What's next? Shame! #OntEd#onpoli#CUPE
We have notified the Speaker of our belief that Stephen Lecce's brazen, callous and antidemocratic behaviour against education workers in Ontario is in contempt of legislature.
He has abused parliamentary privilege and must be held accountable.

As you hear about CUPE strike action, never forget that @Sflecce took $465 million out of the education budget to pay parents, when $235 million would have avoided a strike.

The @fordnation gave his caucus MPPs (mostly men) a raise of over $16,600 per year but only $780 for the mostly women who works in education. You think his MPPs work harder than your kids childcare worker? #onted#39kIsNotEnough
It’s just after 5 and the Legislature has resumed.
It amazes me that the Ford government is willing to show up to trample the rights of education workers but has never made this effort to address the healthcare crisis or keep ERs open.

I went to the #onpoli Legislature gallery today. This is what I saw:
-Conservative MPPs laughing as they tabled a Bill to take #onted CUPE members' rights away
-Conservative MPPs ignoring the proceedings, cracking jokes
It's clear that this is a game to many of these guys.
I’ve got a message for the Premier: scrap your anti-worker legislation, respect workers’ Charter rights, and get back to the bargaining table. #onted#39Kisnotenough#solidarity@CUPEOntario
