@nikhilx22 Web no doubt, works everywhere, no submission hassle. I love good native apps, but as a founder web is the way to go until you have a proven concept.
There are exceptions of course, apps that integrate with systems in the OS like the calendar or the cameras for example
7/ My bar is €0.50 per event; I'm at €1.63. Each event gets ~5 responses. If enough responders start their own, the math changes. I only started measuring that today. Verdict Oct 18. #buildinpublic
1/ I run a free, no-account scheduling tool (https://t.co/ikI9FIkF9F) and give it €2/day of Google Ads. Here's what the first full week bought, and what I changed.
6/ Changes today: those negatives, paused the Dutch keywords that are really a brand name, CPC cap €1.00 → €0.85, rewrote the three ads that spend. Same €2/day.
4/ Best keyword: German "terminumfrage erstellen" (create a date poll). 8 clicks, 6 events in 28 days. Belgium (Dutch): 3 clicks, 3 events. Small numbers, but consistent.
3/ Last 7 days: 19 clicks, €17.89, 11 events created from ad clicks. Over half the people who click create an event. The problem is the price: ~€0.93 per click.
2/ Setup: Search only, exact-match keywords, German and Dutch, Germany + Belgium + Netherlands. Not English: that market is crowded. €2/day is fully spent every day.
@matthias_mrc Interesting question, I was using Zed for a while (still love it), but a few weeks ago realized I was just using the AI agent pane.
Now pretty much full-time Claude code in the terminal.
@Henryf1w Absolutely, there is definitely an added value to have an idea of what’s being done under the hood, and I’m afraid the more recent generation of builders never will.
I started coding before editors could autocomplete. My docs were books full of bookmarks.
Then came Stack Overflow, smarter IDEs, and code that practically wrote itself.
Now I write what I want in a chat.
Each wave moved coding away from syntax and closer to intent. What’s next?
