Free Cervical Cancer World is dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for HPV vaccination as a key step in preventing cervical cancer.

Rongo University Vice Chancellor Prof. Samuel Gudu leads a tree-planting exercise at Kitere Comprehensive School in Rongo Sub-county during the launch of the Greening for Our Environment Initiative. Rongo Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner George Matundura has ordered the 57 individuals who were seeking healing at Melkio Joseph Mission Messiah Church not to return to the premises, citing it as unsafe and hostile. According to the commissioner, police officers will escort them in small groups to collect their belongings, after which they will be taken back to their homes. Children without guardians will be placed under the care of child protection services.

“We are moving to court to challenge the order by Rongo Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner George Matundura barring 57 members of Melkio Joseph Mission Messiah Church from returning to their place of worship. The church has existed since the 1970s. For some, it’s the only place they’ve ever known—where does he expect them to go? Their belongings are still inside the church,” said Benard Acholla, an advocate practicing in Migori.
