@pressjournal "Looking in to it" - that much used phrase that means incapable of doing the job as it requires (as per the finance farce at Dundee Uni). Nothing to look in to other than establishing the facts in 5 or 10 minutes, then dismissal if true.
@abjerkley@rthonbwooster@hellothisisivan I don't know what "successfully voted" means but we live in a democracy (or used to). If you want to prevent that then maybe you should have been around in the 1930s when it was popular. I don't agree with her views but she had a right to express them
@Stillwater47266@ThatNukemGuy Would you like people stopped from expressing views like that? It's a simple question which needs a yes or no answer. It is an important question and I hoe you answer rather than diverting
@Dancane93@clarkaw Absolutely - in my day (i'm nearly 70) you could debate an issue without trying to shut down alternative views. What a sad country we are now Daniel.
@abjerkley@hellothisisivan I don't agree with it either but we were once a democracy where free speech was allowed without punishment. Forgive me, I'm nearly 70 but in my day there were robust debates which were allowed by everybody. Maybe people were more mature in my day
@ThatNukemGuy@Stillwater47266 "Cruel" to gay people. It was a personal view. Nobody was cruel - they might not have agreed with her but there was no cruelty
@ThatNukemGuy@DreyfusJames Untold harm ? What on earth are you on about you soulless individual. Have you no compassion for people who disagree with you ?
@PlayingByEar@hellothisisivan Not really - some people are happy that someone who had views that conflicted with their own are happy that she is dead. Nothing tricky about that Neil, just a reflection of a society where hatred seems to dominate nowadays.
@abjerkley@hellothisisivan She had no "political actions" she had views that people either agreed or disagreed with. It's worrying that there are people that are glad that she is dead (not necessarily accusing you of that -just to be clear !!)
@hannahforest Hatred on all sides Hannah, sadly it's how life has become since my youth (born in 1957) - everybody has their own opinions. What would you do ? Censor debate on an issue ? That's called fascism.
@PeterTatchell We all have different views on things - i didn't agree with her on everything but maybe some people on here have no experience of a conviction politician who stuck to those views rather than seeing which way the wind blows. Old school.
