Let's add a full timeline to this Chris situation and then hopefully dead it, cus it's getting boring.
1. In exit press, he said he "retired" me, implying he was in some way the reason I retired, when I'd announced my retirement episodes prior. He was my last loss, a moment he's dined out on for years and likely one of the greatest of his life. Regardless, he says he retired me because it makes him sound cool; it's taken out of context.
2. I text him and ask where, on a scale of respectful to disrespectful, he feels those comments sit. He responds with a "7.5," so I tell him I'm gonna hit him back with a 7.5 of my own, to which he says "fair."
3. I hit him with a 7.5. It's not my fault my audience is larger and I'm more entertaining. The tweet becomes the most-viewed Challenge content of the week, including the episode where he lost to Justin (the guy he chose to go against).
4. He's lined up to speak on this situation at Challenge Mania. I assume he's going to talk shit about me, in a boring way, when I'm not there to defend myself. So I play 4D chess and pre-write a response for Scott to read aloud. It basically says, "You're a bitch. Y'all (including Josh) knew you couldn't beat me in the final, so you had to take a stab at me in elimination (smart, respect). But to remind you that I'm still better than you, I'm formally betting you ten grand that I can beat you in a final we put on whenever you'd like." He basically says, "I'll send you back to retirement." Cute. But let me translate: "I'm painfully aware you're better than me, despite me calling you old a mere three minutes ago. But I’m not gonna take you up on the bet because I know I’d lose.”
So that's it.
I don't need to be more relevant. I turn down hundreds of thousands of dollars in TV appearances every year. I get paid more for my opinions about 42 than he got paid to be there.
I don't need a Rivals partner, either. Because of how entertaining I am, the storyline producers could pair me with like fifty people. Nor do I need the invite. I'm still the first call every season.
And contrary to what Josh said, I'm not being an asshole. Let me rephrase: I am being an asshole, to a guy who disrespected me unnecessarily. He was then reached out to privately with a chance to say, "Shit man, that's not how I meant it," and instead simply acknowledged it was disrespectful.
Now, see how you've been following this whole story? See how you're still reading? See how it didn't involve me having to hook up or raise my voice, yet still got half a million impressions in a day? This is me standing up for myself while not being boring. This is me being able to carry a show that I can also win - a challenger should be able to do both.
So there, it’s over. He beat me in an elimination. I am in fact a little bitter. It was a great move that had to be done then cus I would have won the whole thing. I would have beat him then and I would beat him tomorrow. So either say this full paragraph or don’t say anything at all.
I’ve never really liked a Glee cover more than the original. I never understood that phenomenon. I feel like yall are lying. Someone on tumblr said it once and now everyone is running with it.
