Ahead of the G7 in Évian, President @EmmanuelMacron and I are meeting in Paris today. In an uncertain world, where our alliances are increasingly tested, this partnership forum matters more than ever.
I am going to wait until I get complete information. However I would suggest people look up Daniel Chappie James what a force of nature If he even thought he was getting something because of DEI or whatever he would reject it himself .He was that kind of guy .Their is an interview of him talking about how him being a four-star general was not because of the bicentennial about how they don’t give anything.
I think in the current incarnation of the military. They might be thinking that putting Gen James in a category as being the first black 4 star general would demean the general himself. He’s just like the other four-star generals . I can understand that intellectually. however, I have a different take.
If anyone earned what he earned, it was this guy. My father liked him but my uncle my dad‘s brother did not like the general at all. All Vietnam vets . He was a stickler for discipline . He was not gonna tolerate any mess . That’s why it’s so ironic that if they did remove the painting in some weird way, they might be thinking the general would approve. He probably would actually however it is for us the citizens to not approve of it. I think he does deserve a special accolade I digress I’m not gonna go into his story however people should read into it. They should read into how Robin Olds one of America’s greatest aces what he thought about him. Him being a trainer for the Tuskegee airmen during World War II, then flying combat missions in Korea and Vietnam. Robin Olds requested him special to help him run a fighter wing during Vietnam war operation Bolo. Or even listen to President Reagan‘s speech about him when he was dedicating something to him.
We can at least assume that when he was coming up, it was challenging to say the least like I said intellectually. I kind of understand what the defense department is trying to accomplish I do however I’d leave Chappie alone lol
*Content warning: Survivors of Indian residential school’s are spoken about mid-video by Danielle Smith.*
I used to write her speeches. I believed her. Now I’ve read the record
-and it tells a different story.
Alberta’s Premier threatened First Nations chiefs with jail for defending their treaties. Two courts said her government violated the constitutional duty to consult. Chiefs’ letters go unanswered.
But in 2013, on the floor of the Alberta legislature, Danielle Smith predicted exactly this crisis. In her own words.
On the record.
She knew.
I went back to the Hansard documents E so you don’t have to. The full piece is up now on Indigenous Insider.
Read it. Share it.
The record doesn’t lie.

PM Carney warned Canadians that things would get worse before they got better, so the man is honest. I’ve never seen a PM hustle economically as much as this across the world and the country. If a barely-nicked recession is the worst of it after economic war with the US, wow.
Russia is now threatening other nearby countries far more openly than before. Every neighbor of Russia heard what was said about Armenia, whose people are the only ones who have the right to decide and will choose the future of their country. What Russia says about Armenia is, in truth, not about Armenia alone.
No one can be left without support – Europe has no right to lose any of its peoples, to leave any country behind. Armenia must be supported. Moldova must be supported. The Baltic states. Azerbaijan must be supported. We must find ways to support the people of Georgia as well – and this is a shared European task. No one can be lost.
Fellow Canadian conservatives: please reflect on this poll.
Yes, the US and is and always will be our largest trading partner.
And yes, we have to find a modus vivendi with whoever is in the White House, even a President who flippantly insults and threatens us.
But it is self-defeating to attack the Prime Minister for trying to diversify away from our imprudent dependence on an unreliable US market.
Have the humility to listen to Canadians.
Stop dismissing Trump’s attacks as a distraction, or worse yet, as somehow justified.
And heed the wise words of @stephenharper:
"Canada must adapt to new geopolitical realities. To be clear, these realities mean we must reduce our dependence on the U.S."

PM Mark Carney claps back at reporter who is “confused” as to why Canada isn’t just capitulating to the US demands on trade talks.
THIS IS WHY HE HAS A MAJORITY GOVT!

Wab Kinew: "The thing that working people need to keep in mind is that even when Trump leaves, Trumpism will remain. And it is being bankrolled by a group of the wealthiest people who've ever existed on planet Earth. And they care only about enhancing their own wealth."
Security Clearances expire every 5 yrs or less.
They are required if marital status changes to include the wife. @PierrePoilievre got married in 2018.
He's 8 years overdue and refuses to get one.
@MarkJCarney got his in 2 weeks and complied with all the security requirements.
🚨WATCH: Peter Schiefke (@PeterSchiefke) Member’s Statement is a hilarious roast of @PierrePoilievre.
“Don't try to talk tough or be awkwardly formal. Surrender yourself, and just try to act normal."
Good advice!

For the first time, a non-European nation has taken part in the European Political Community Summit.
It was an honour to represent Canada in Yerevan, Armenia. In an era of great power rivalry and increasing division, we’re focused on creating more peace, security, and stability in the world.
Canadian PM Mark Carney says criminals exploit “irresponsible American gun laws” and weak U.S. border enforcement to move illegal firearms into Canada, saying U.S. platforms have become “seas of racism, misogyny, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and hate.”
