The legendary Sidney Poitier has died at age 94. Poitier was the first Black man to win an Academy Award for a leading role, with his 1963 performance in "Lilies of the Field." That film and many others he starred in are on the Library's #NatFilmRegistry.

@rodmanlibrary remembers Petty Officer Third Class Eugene Paul Hann and the many others who were killed in action 80 years ago today during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Hann, who had lived in Alliance, was stationed aboard the USS Oklahoma. He was 24.
