Welsh Liberal Democrat candidate for Caerdydd Fynnon Taf 2026. Leader of Welsh Lib Dem Group on Cardiff Council. Councillor for Penylan. Former council leader.
After months of asking, I am pleased National Grid now accepts it was wrong to put down concrete slabs in place of traditional pennant slabs in Grenville Road in Penylan after doing some work at this site. Hopefully they will now sort this soon.

At the council AGM, our Cyncoed & Lakeside councillor @bablinmolik stepped down as the chair of the Community and Adult Social Services scrutiny committee, and Pentwyn & Llanedeyrn Dan Naughton was elected to replace her. Thank you Bablin and congratulations Dan
Congratulations to former Deputy Lord Mayor and Trowbridge and St Mellons Labour councillor Michael Michael on his election as Lord Mayor of the City and County of Cardiff
Tonight we’re at county hall for the @cardiffcouncil AGM. The council will be appointing the new Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor, and electing a new leader of the council following former leader Huw Thomas being electing to the Senedd
This decision is madness and a complete betrayal of the brave men and women sacrificing their lives to liberate Ukraine from Russian invaders. Any money spent on Russian fuel is money going to buy weapons to kill our allies on the battlefield. This is wrong https://t.co/2jn2JheOdx
Farage says his £5 million gift was a “reward” for Brexit.
The rest of us were rewarded with higher bills and years of chaos.
This grifter must not become prime minister.
I have now been advised by @cardiffcouncil that the problem seems to have been caused by Civica who printed and dispatched the postal vote packs, rather than with the Royal Mail.
This is a fiasco. And some voters will have lost their chance to vote as a result.
I have had worrying reports that many people in Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf may not have received the postal vote they requested due to postal delays.
It is hugely concerning that some people may now be denied the chance to vote. #Senedd2026

Thanks to all Senedd 2026 candidates who've replied to the email about the need to support Welsh-medium schools in the whole of Cardiff!
Go to the link above for details.
So far, there has been no response to the email from:
🟥 Welsh Labour (Huw Thomas, Shav Taj, et al)
Nigel Farage’s Brexit caused the small boats crisis.
Now he's exploiting it to stir up division instead of putting forward proper solutions.
What a charlatan.

After 27 years of nothing but Labour health ministers in Wales, many aspects of our NHS are badly underperforming. We need a much better deal for mental health services.
The current waits for ADHD assessments are horrendous. ⬇️

It was a pleasure to attend this hustings last night. It's clearly a time of much anxiety for members of the Jewish community, however. We must ensure the next Welsh Government takes tough action against anti-semitism and extremism. All our communities deserve to feel safe.
Thank you to Cardiff United Synagogue for hosting the Board of Deputies and South Wales Jewish Representative Council hustings for the upcoming election, and thank you to the candidates for taking the time to answer questions from members of the Jewish community.
In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks targeting British Jews and our communities, this was an important opportunity to press candidates on how they will address antisemitism, ensure security, and support Jewish life.

An utterly outrageous attack on our Jewish community.
An unforgivable attack on the British way of live - you should be safe walking the streets, no matter your faith.
We must stand firmly against anti-semitism in all its forms.
Religious intolerance is not British.
I fully agree with Ed. We must stand firmly against all such hatred on the basis of race or religion, including anti-semitism. Such violence has no place here in the UK.
Horrifying news from North London. My heart goes out to the victims, their loved ones and the whole Jewish community.
Hatred like this has no place in Britain. The Government must do more to keep Jewish communities safe and confront antisemitism wherever it appears.
Donald Trump has shown nothing but contempt for our country.
Only Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage could think it’s a good idea to send our King to honour him with a state visit.
