@richardtgarland An option does exist that can make this issue disappear for both unionist and nationalists. It’s called Rejoining the SM and CU but it seems that a hard Brexit is more important than cross community consensus to the DUP, UUP and TUV.
@CMOIreland Thank you for your service to our country Dr Holohan. You’re a credit to the nation. My best wishes to you and your family at this difficult time.
@OxfordDiplomat I enjoyed seeing that guy getting a schooling! I seem to remember he said that trade in Ireland as the economic equivalent "of a round of drinks". He never tackles any issue other than economics in relation to Ireland as he knows his arguments wouldn't stand up to scrutiny
@DanielJHannan If you really believed that “alternative solutions” existed within a reasonable timeframe you would have no issue the backstop. The fact that you resist the backstop so fiercely only confirms you don’t believe your own bullshit and why our government must insist on one.
@davidmcw@FT Great article. These arch brexiters have a view of Ireland thats fifty years out of date. The huge amount unprompted Gaffs about Ireland and its politics by the British establishment over the last three years only confirms this. “The first 70 years did the hardest!” I love it!
@JonWalters19@FAIreland@stokecity@BurnleyOfficial@azzurri@DFB_Team_EN Best of the best for your retirement Jon! Ireland we miss your commitment to the jersey, desire on the pitch and your eye for a vital goal! Hopefully you will bring the same desire and commitment as Irish manager some day! 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
@Jacob_Rees_Mogg Funny how the the obdurate Irish government wants to defend their vital national interest by guaranteeing the status quo in our country. It’s not as if British governments haven’t broken their promises in relation to Ireland before eh Jacob?
