In entrepreneurship, three key figures guide your path to success: the Coach, the Mentor, and the Sponsor.
The Coach
The Coach is an experienced guide who supports you throughout your journey, offering expertise and understanding of your business challenges and goals. They help you make informed decisions and avoid common mistakes.
The Mentor
The Mentor shares wisdom, offering insights from their own experiences, successes, and failures. They help shape your strategic vision, challenge your assumptions, and provide valuable feedback.
The Sponsor
The Sponsor is an influential advocate who promotes you in key decision-making spaces where you may not have access. They create opportunities, vouch for your abilities, and ensure your voice is heard in important business circles.
Playing for your calling, not just for your position, means focusing on the greater purpose and mission that drives you, rather than the temporary role you hold.
Your position is likely to change over time; you may start as a clerk today, but that doesn't define your future. What truly matters is how you approach your work and the values you uphold. Words and actions in any position can impact your future when you step up.
By playing for your calling, you ensure that your efforts and decisions align with your long-term vision and integrity, laying a solid foundation for future success and growth.
Start small with what you have
Over the last 7 years that I have been actively involved in horticulture I have seen farmers come to order 100 tomato plants as seen in the image below, those same farmers today are doing
10 000 to a hectare of tomato.
Focus on learning first

Wins can be intoxicating—they are both affirming and energizing. But leadership isn’t always full of wins. When we backslide, it is tempting to live our glory days and question whether we’ve “still got it.” You do. When a house collapses, something greater can be built.
