I have a huge issue with the EBU silencing the booing during Israel’s performance and adding fake cheers to it to make it sound like there’s a positive reception from the audience.

EBU needs to be reminded they’re a public service broadcaster whose purpose is to serve the public, not to silence them.

I can respect EBU’s decision to allow Israel to participate (though I myself disagree with it), but to silence the very real discourse around their participation and to also make it seem like it is welcomed and celebrated through sound manipulation sends a really bad message.

For an organization that is supposedly against censorship and for media freedom, this makes absolutely zero sense.
