My new book China Coup predicts the overthrow of Xi Jinping and the launch of a transition to democracy. Just published in US and coming out in UK on 10 June.

@thomasdggeddes Was the article by Feng Yujun and Wen Longjie published in Sinification on 14 March originally published in Chinese in another publication? If so, may we know it’s name and location?
If there has not been a coup against Xi, the reasons for believing the totalitarian regime in China will soon end, set out in the non-fictional three-quarters of my book, have been strengthened since publication. Zero Covid, property collapse, Ukraine, etc.
@Jerry_grey2002 @krisdayanti229 Yes I do remember Princess Elizabeth ending her honeymoon in Kenya early because of her father’s death. I also remember Mao’s Great Leap Forward causing 46 million premature deaths, a fact censored from China‘a history books, even today.
Looking forward to starting @roger_garside’s new book “China Coup” tonight. Its thesis—that the regime can be toppled—feels a tad optimistic, but we have to hope.
Moderating @roger_garside on his new book, #ChinaCoup, today, was a pleasure. After the changes & new controls of the last months/weeks/days in China, more people than ever are asking where it's all headed. Roger has a bold theory: #coup. @ilb_ https://t.co/dE4yr2Vdox
@TheSpectator@benedictrogers My good friend Ben Rogers is right: we can and must help those in Myanmar who are struggling to Dave their country from a heartless, incompetent military junta.
@martinoei I have just discovered your podcast on YouTube about my book China Coup, dated 1 May. Thanks for your interest. Would you be so kind as to summarise it for me, please? Roger.
The DiDi affair exemplifies the impossibility of knowing the full risks of investing in Chinese companies even when listed in US. This is a central theme of the coup story in my book. ?Prescient?
