When 102-year-old World War II veteran Wally King asks you to have a beer at the Stop Bar in Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy, you have a beer (or two) with Wally King at the Stop Bar in Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy. What an honor! Wally flew 75 combat missions in the Second World War in P-51 Mustangs and P-47 Thunderbolts. He was shot down in April of 1945, parachuting out of his P-47 over Germany and becoming a POW before then evading both German and Soviet forces on his way to freedom. Legend!
I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to Normandy with Wally three times for D-Day commemoration events with the Best Defense Foundation over the past few years. We always have a blast! 🇺🇸
🚨BREAKING: British veteran breaks down live on TV over state of the country:
"Rows and rows of white tombs for what? A country of today? No, I'm sorry. The sacrifice wasn't worth the result.
I fought for freedom, and it's darn-sight worse now than when I fought."
Dreams is The Cranberries’ first single, released on October 5, 1992, by Island Records and later included on their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? (1993).
The song was written by Dolores O’Riordan when she was just 18 years old. According to her, it’s about her first love in Ireland and that feeling of being completely in love for the first time.
It’s an optimistic and dreamy song about how love transforms everyday life.
There was a demo recorded in 1990, when the band was still called The Cranberry Saw Us. The backing vocals at the end were provided by Mike Mahoney, Dolores’s ex-boyfriend at the time.
“Dreams,” along with “Linger,” were the songs that opened the doors to international success for the Irish band.
Maureen and I are heartbroken by the sudden loss of Sgt. Nathaniel Thomas, a dedicated Indiana National Guard soldier and Indianapolis firefighter who lived a life of service to others. Our prayers are with his wife, Morgan, their five children, and all who knew and loved him. Indiana will remember his service, honor his sacrifice, and carry forward the example he set for others.
Texas State Board of Education member Julie Pickren just exposed it all.
CAIR — the terrorist-linked group Gov. Abbott has called out — sent a 2-page demand letter to rewrite Texas history with straight-up lies:
• Claim 1/3 of American slaves were Muslim, enslaved for their faith
• Remove Mayflower Compact & Columbus references
• Erase George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation & Prayer
• Teach the Alamo was built to “honor Islam”
Who the hell are these terrorists to demand anything — let alone lies to rewrite American history? Pure insanity.
Hard NO. Deport them and protect our kids’ education. Texas will teach truth, not Islamist fiction. 🇺🇸
God bless Texas!
