To be together means to-gather.
You can’t be the Body of Christ without the body present.
“Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves.” (Hebrews 10:25)
Scattered coals grow cold. Gathered coals ignite.
Absence robs us of presence.
To-gether is to-gather. #togetheristogahter
‘Small churches aren’t lesser versions of big churches any more than a cell phone is a lesser version of a laptop. We’re something else entirely.’ from Responsive Design: Church Leadership Ideas That Don’t Adapt For Size Are Behind The Curve https://t.co/ouUuBxUUXt
A thought-provoking article. 13 Pressure Tactics https://t.co/LLlaJLP1bY
This response to pressure stood out to me. Slow Down: Artificial urgency is the mother of bad decisions.
3. I want to feel like something unexpected might happen
When there are moments to pause and be open to the Holy Spirit, it reminds me that God is bigger than today’s order of service.

Jesus did not come to teach us how to live our best life.
He came to reveal how to live the blessed life—
the God-life, breathed and burning within us.
Jesus did not come to polish our lives to perfection.
He came to pierce our lives with resurrection.
Not to make us better,
but to make us new.

Pastoral ministry can be hazardous to our spiritual health. But it doesn’t need to be. This article contains great wisdom. I just need to put it into practice :-)

I want to be told how great Jesus is (Not how great I am. Or you are. Or America is. Or…)
Tell me how much Jesus loves me, not how much I should love myself.
No church has ever gone wrong by talking about Jesus too much.

"God works through proximity. Keep your eyes open to who he puts in your path. The barista who knows your name. The coworker who lingers after a meeting. The neighbor you keep bumping into." Billy Phenix
We do not find Paul concerning himself with the size of churches or with questions about their growth. His primary concern is with their faithfulness, with the integrity of their witness.
Want your church to be friendlier? Try the GIFT plan:
1. GREET someone you’ve never met before
2. INTRODUCE people to each other
3. FOLLOW UP on someone you met recently
4. THANK someone who did something you appreciate

All my life I’ve heard preachers talk about a worldwide revival.
There have been pockets of excitement, but the average person has no idea they occurred.
But now it feels like something is happening.

I still think it’s the greatest thing in the world to have a ministry of intercession, which is possible.
A college education isn’t possible to everybody, nor a preaching ministry, nor a healing ministry, but a prayer ministry is.
The church doesn’t need more vision-casting pastors, we need more equipping pastors.
What would happen if the burden of having a unique vision was lifted from pastors’ shoulders? Maybe we would feel free to become the equippers we’re meant to be.
