By day, I’m an XR Engineer building the future of immersive tech. By night, I return to my roots as a gaming industry veteran turned part-time indie dev.
Summer dev update! ☀️🖥️ Apple is turning 50, and while everyone is talking about Apple Silicon and the future, I’m spending June celebrating the classic Mac Toolbox. 🖥️🔧 Currently coding a new, native 68k game for the Macintosh SE/30.

Leveling up Nebula 8! 🚀
I’ve been making some solid progress on my latest prototype for the ZX Spectrum Next. Writing in C has been a journey, but it’s paying off.
I’m particularly happy with how my pixel art is evolving, but the big news is under the hood: the dynamic level system is now live! With the framework in place, I’m finally ready to dive into the actual gameplay mechanics.
Stay tuned for more updates on Nebula 8! #ZXNext #RetroDev #IndieDev #ZXSpectrum
They look like made for each other
There’s more to the modern Speccy world than just the Spectrum Next.
The ZX Mechtrum paired with the MB03+ Ultimate.
While the Next is great, this combo is on another level, too. You get the incredible tactile feel of Lee Smith’s mechanical keyboard (Mechtrum) combined with the absolute "Swiss Army Knife" of interfaces. The MB03+ Ultimate handles everything from esxDOS and massive RAM expansions to SID sound and digital video out.
It’s the ultimate setup for what I have planned next. Stay tuned...

I’m making some serious headway on Nebula 8! 🚀
The initial stage was a real puzzle for me: figuring out the best way to make the ULA, Layer 2, Tilemaps, and Sprites all play nice together. ✨
It feels good to be back in the ZXNext dev seat! I’m coding this in C, and honestly, it’s a total blast to be working with this machine again after a 3-year break. The "Next" is such a joy to develop for. 📟

Prototype status: PLAYABLE. 🕹️🔥 Ignoring the placeholder assets for a moment to celebrate a win: all the core systems are live on the ZX Spectrum Next! 🔹 Layer 2 & Tilemaps for the world 🔹 Hardware Sprites for the action 🔹 ULA for the polish The "fun factor" is already there. Can’t wait to swap the dev-art for real pixels and show you the full vision! 🛠️✨ #RetroDev #zxspectrumnext #PixelArt #DevLog #NextGenRetro #Homebrew
From a random gameplay idea to a working prototype in just a few hours. 🚀
The speed of iteration in #GodotEngine is unmatched. It’s incredible how quickly you can evaluate a concept compared to #Unity or #Unreal.
Next up: building out levels using the custom in-game editor. It’s already alive and kicking! 🛠️ #IndieDev #Gamedev

This is my self-gift for Christmas! While still a work in progress, it's a full-size arcade cabinet running the Steam version of my own game #Vexxon#Arcade#Retrogame#IndieGameDev
I love retro programming because it's direct programming. No abstraction layers, no dependency injection, just getting straight to the core. It feels independent and real. #CodeLife#VintageTech#RetroGame#Vectrex#C64
