nakakatawa lang as per office of the ombudsman hindi daw sila nahirapan mag imbestiga sa plunder case ni Marcoleta kasi lahat ng evidence sa bibig nya lumabas like plsss that's so funny 😭😭😭
Every Filipino, including the faithfuls of Iglesia Ni Cristo, has the right to protest. But the rest of us also have the right to ask: why would a religious organization stand in defense of someone who has admitted to receiving large sums of money from private individuals while serving as a public official? On his own, and unprovoked, Senator Marcoleta has publicly and personally admitted to it. No faith, whatever the religion may be, should be used to shield corruption or place anyone above accountability and the rule of law.
China leaves no stone unturned in bullying Philippines in the SCS.
China wants the Philippines to surrender before China's dictatorial authority.
Because PH is retaliating by making alliances, doing drills, and investing in smart weapons, that is why China is furious
@PhilstarNews This is what Saint Peter did during his short stint as the king of Senate chaos. Totally disgusting. A fitting legacy for a man who turned the Senate into his own personal circus of self-interest and drama.
‘WHAT A WASTE OF TAXPAYERS’ MONEY’
Sen. Panfilo Lacson criticized the 28-day leadership standoff under Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, claiming it cost taxpayers an estimated P700 million while yielding “chaos” and legislative inaction.
In a post on X on Thursday, June 18, Lacson said the estimate was based on calculations by Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian, who previously chaired the finance committee, placing the Senate’s daily operating expenses at around P25 million.
“As per estimate made by the erstwhile Finance committee chairman, now SP Gatchalian, under the 2026 GAA, the Senate spends approximately P25M/day - salaries, allowances, MOOE, etc. Multiply that by 28 days of inaction and inactivity, it’s P700M,” Lacson said in a reply to a comment.
Are we hyping the presence of the Chinese floating platform in Bajo de Masinloc? Of course not. We have more than enough basis to say so, because the Chinese government has always been good at lying—especially when it comes to denying its true intentions in the West Philippine Sea.
Here is a video of Wang Yi in Manila in 1995, where he claimed that the shelter China built on Panganiban (Mischief) Reef—well within the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone—was for civilian purposes only, and would remain so even in the future. But look at that same reef today: a massive illegal reclamation that is now one of China’s largest military bases in the entire South China Sea.
Their claim that they care about the marine environment is just as hollow. They showed no such concern when they bulldozed and buried the reefs and seabed to build their illegal bases across the South China Sea.
"These are people who are really capable of lying without batting an eyelash."
