"Kynance Cove, Cornwall" mixed media on cradled board. Late afternoon winter light glowed off the sea along this part of Cornwall's coastal path. The outcrops of reddish purple Serpentine rock give this landscape a unique character. #cornwallcoast#seascape#landscapepainting
"Gordale Scar, Yorkshire Dales". Just outside Malham in the Yorkshire Dales is this awe inspiring limestone gorge which has attracted many artists such as Turner to draw and paint it. My charcoal sketch is the basis of an abstract interpretation of the Scar.

"Remote summer farm", watercolour. This is a composite abstracted view of many upland farmsteads seen while walking in remote rural areas. Patterns and features are conveyed in colour and marks which are often only noticed by a close observation of the landscape.
"The Howgill Fells, Yorkshire Dales", watercolour. The Howgill Fells are in the far northwest corner of the Yorkshire Dales and abut the Lake District. Unlike most of the Dales which are limestone, these Fells are mainly sandstone and mudstone and over 100 million years older.
"Door, Yorkshire Dales" Acrylic and mixed media. Along the Dales Way there are many old buildings with interesting weathered doors. From charcoal sketches this abstract composition evolved to represent features of an old door. #acrylicpainting#landscape#buyartfromartists
