Our theory of flux noise in SQUIDs and superconducting qubits is out. Now that we understand the origin we can work on a way to control!

I remember telling @FrankWilczek around that time that quantum phases of matter can be distinguished by their quantum entanglement. He said, "That seems profound," and I replied that I thought it might be trivial. After a pause, Frank said, "It's profoundly trivial."
How to use the research literature. When approaching a difficult mathematical problem, first think deeply upon it on your own, using all the ideas you can muster, before consulting the work of others. Push your own ideas as hard as you can first, and read only afterward.
Michael Fisher was a hugely influential figure during my Ph.D at @UMDPhysics. I took 3 graduate courses from him, discussed research, and was lucky to have him write a letter of recommendation for my postdoctoral applications. His legacy is alive! https://t.co/y0oyvncmdE
Very proud to have our paper highlighted as Editors' suggestion! @UVicResearch@UVicCAMTEC@PHASTatUVIC
