@judah47 The period December 3rd to December 13th is called Buchan warm period, Scottish 19th century meteorologist who established such warm/cold periods from observation. Often correct. Currently very cold and some snow forecast.

@simon_reeve Simon, always excellent programmes, thanks. But why does nobody mention the shifts in global climate and extremes as Little Ice Age (Maunder/Dalton minima) 1350 to 1850? It naturally started to warm as that ended. It will happen again.

Few know or want to know history.

@TheSnowDreamer Interesting: in November 2010, by Nov 18th & 19th it was (London)12C. Then veered to N/NE wind and got much colder, then by November 30th, great snowfall. Just interesting......
