Many congratulations to @SarahLouMiller on the release of her second book, The Lancaster Story. I think that many of my followers would be very interested in reading it!
Such sad news to hear of John’s passing.
A true gentleman, dear friend of BBMF, and a genuine legend of Bomber Command.
Wg Cdr John Bell MBE DFC LdH you will be sorely missed sir.
Remembering Jon - proud, warm, caring and full of hope
I’m proud of everything @joneggingtrust has achieved for young people who are struggling in collaboration with our partners, @RoyalAirForce, STEM organisations and space sector

The first time this lot went up I passed comment that @RAFBBMF had emptied the toybox and it kinda stuck. So here I present to you the Toybox (tm) aka Trenchard formation! Looks epic whatever it’s called
Probably My favourite Lancaster shot Ever!
A Sunkissed Lancaster PA474 of Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Returns to Royal Air Force Coningsby at Sunset after a flight to mark the 80th anniversary of the Dambusters raid. 😍
A real privilege to be guest of honour at the dinner to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Dams Raid at the @PetwoodHotel
Brilliant support from @RAFMusic and obviously, a superb flypast from the @RAFBBMF Lancaster crew.
And … a beautiful evening to boot.

As you enjoy your dinner tonight, as you look at your family, think back 80 years when 133 young men took to the skies.
53 #Dambusters were killed this night. & 3 PoW.
Only 48 of that 133 would survive WW2.
The sacrifice of Bomber Command across the war is unrivalled.
RIP gents.
80 years ago tonight, 19 Lancaster Bombers, with 133 crew, took off from RAF Scampton to undertake one of the most famous raids in the history of the Royal Air Force.
8 of those aircraft did not return. 53 crew were killed. 3 were taken prisoner.
Lest We Forget.
