This roundtable will explore the CMMC Order of Precedence and its practical impact on scoping, implementation, assessment, and certification. The CMMC Final Rule and the recent Department of War Class Deviation Memorandum align mandatory safeguarding requirements and certification expectations across contractors and their supply chains.

The mission of CMMC is to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). These authorities do not introduce new requirements — they clarify how existing requirements must be applied, interpreted, and verified.

Success in scoping, implementation, and certification depends on understanding how NIST SP 800-171, CUI regulations, DFARS, DoD policy, and the CMMC Rule work together to protect CUI — not as competing frameworks, but as aligned guidance.

If we get the order of precedence right, we get CMMC right — the first time.

I am beyond grateful and humbled to be selected as a delegate at Davos 2026 (Jan 19–23), representing CMMC in partnership with the Cyber Future Foundation, CMMC Industry Standards Council, and DTC Global.

In a world where supply chain cybersecurity is global economic infrastructure, compliance operationalizes data sovereignty to deliver uncompromised innovation—turning vulnerabilities into advantages. Our message: Supply chain compliance drives data security through digital transformation, inseparable from national security and economic growth.
