On June 27, 1985, America quietly erased its most famous road.
Route 66 ran from Chicago all the way to the California coast. Twenty four hundred miles of diners, motels, and neon. It carried Dust Bowl families west in the thirties and a whole generation of road trippers later on. People wrote songs about it. They built TV shows around it.
Then the interstates showed up. Faster, straighter, and dead boring, and they slowly choked the life out of it.
On this day in 1985 the highway officials made it official and struck Route 66 from the map for good. Pieces of the old road are still out there if you go hunting for them. But on paper, that day, the Mother Road died.
Who could have seen this coming?

X is 👑 of distribution now!! 🍿 🎥 The movie was 🔥 Death Wish and a splash of Boomtown Saints. Critics haven't risked anything, I know my late husband was an Indie Producer. Eighteen films produced and released. Not a small thing, this business isn't for the weak. Congratulations!!

Interesting.
Do children “deserve” to be told about eternal nothingness? How about that they have no inherent value? Do they deserve to be told all their decisions are really illusions determined by laws of physics? How about that they’re just a random cosmic accident here for literally no reason. They deserve that one?
In high school a classmate complained that she was at a disadvantage in our literature class because she didn't understand biblical references
Our teacher goes "Look, I'm an atheist too but you can either learn this or be out of the loop in the entire western world"
I won't apologize for interviewing Armie. He's a great actor and a super nice guy.
I also won't apologize for interviewing Uwe. We've been friends for 3 years now. Loyalty to friends means something to me.
I'm not gonna throw either under the bus.
What’s the likelihood that a legitimate child abuse/neglect allegation was made against Buttplug Buttigieg and he decided to spin it as a “swatting” incident so he could play the victim instead of the victimizer?
Is that possible?
