Never in modern American history have we seen this level of politicization of science.
Federal research grants may now need to “demonstrably advance the President’s policy priorities.” Peer review will take a back seat to political approval.
Scientists cannot remain silent.
Wildlife crossings are poised for a major boost under a new bipartisan transportation bill that would extend and expand federal investment in projects designed to reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions across the country. https://t.co/FrNlwO8YKu

Our work in wildlife can often feel small in the scale of the galaxy, but our 𝘗𝘢𝘸-𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘴 remind us every day that even the smallest rebels can help restore balance to the forest. 🐾⭐🌲
#Rogue#Rebel#Alliance
🌲Our squadron of marten dogs, Rogues Ranger, Echo, Whisper, & Siska, have been deep in the Forest Moon of Endor this spring, sniffing for one of the rarest forest predators in the galaxy: the coastal marten. Small, scrappy, & surprisingly fierce, think Ewok, but w sharper teeth.
🐻 And while we may call them our 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘸𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘢𝘴, the truth is they’re less sidekick and more Jedi Master. Our dogs are our guides, partners, and the ones truly leading this (wildlife detection) mission.

💤Snooze time in the field on our intense coastal marten surveys. This study area is steep & rugged, requiring all our physical (& mental) fortitude.
Sure, our #ConservationDogs are go, go, go but it’s important we stop & rest so they can keep on sniffing for wildlife.
