@DPJHodges The man infuriates me. This is the definition of sticking your oar in. Perhaps he could use his influence for something helpful, instead of gunning for people he knows almost nothing about.
@sophielouisecc I hope the mail is paying you to be it’s parrot - if not how are you being compensated for the ludicrous amount of embarrassment you’re causing yourself by posting this? It’s absolute rubbish
@trailrunningfan If you know youre going to be under intense scrutiny after saying you’re dedicated to ‘public service’ then you don’t accept an absurd amount of free clothes…it’s not even bad management of optics it’s just idiocy
@DPJHodges You know as well as me that the function of a resignation letter isn’t necessarily damage,it can be intended to move the dial on the conversation, which the comments show has happened
@EliotWilson2 @Peston@DLidington The main reason it’s not fine is that the electorate can’t hold them to account… the whole principal of parliament is you can theoretically remove representatives that you don’t like
@tomhfh The other speakers have been on the media circuit for years doing debates and shows like this but I don’t recall seeing her on a public stage of this size before. Polish comes with practice - I thought she was pretty solid.
@HasanHussain777 I’m sure he’ll be delighted by that - it’s the same tactics the Tory’s used with ‘brexit means brexit’ and ‘hands, face, space’. Unfortunately if you say slogans enough times they stick!
@MrBenjiWeb He’s been an opposition leader for so long it’s like his default (only?) setting is to oppose. That won’t work if he’s in charge! I’d like to back him but I’m struggling to identify what I’m backing him on!
@mrsamjones88 I agree and I think anyone referring to the situation as a ‘war’ to excuse killing civilians is reprehensible. How can you refer to an almost entirely one sided and crushing offensive against largely unarmed people as a war?
@leftnotlabour Their whole message is about defining themselves in opposition - ‘we’re not the tories’. That’s fine for now, but that won’t hold for long post election when everyone’s forgotten the tories and it’s labour making a mess of things.
