We made a decision early on that was a little different from what many authors and production teams do.

Rather than setting aside the lowest-numbered copies for ourselves, we decided the books would be numbered in the order the orders were received. If you were first in line, you got the lowest numbers. Period.

For us, this project was never about creating something valuable for ourselves. It was about creating something special for the people who have supported Michael and his work for so many years.

This Collector’s Edition was a love letter to our readers. It was an opportunity to make something right for Mikey, to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, and to thank the fans who have been with us on this journey.

So Michael, Joe, and I will be keeping the last three copies. Michael will have #100. Joe will have #98.

As for me, I took #99.
