We are receiving concerning reports from Malindi and other parts of the Coast that some hotels are bringing in Italian workers, including tour guides, to serve tourists.

The concern is that some of these roles have traditionally provided employment for Kenyan youths, many of whom are struggling to find jobs.

We have received photos from our sources but will not publish them to protect their safety.

Kenya’s tourism industry should create jobs for Kenyans while maintaining high standards of service for international visitors. Govt should intervene.
