The UK economy basically works like this:
Get paid £2,000.
Give £900 to a landlord. Give £200 to the council. Give £150 to energy companies. Give £300 to supermarkets. Give £300 to car insurance and fuel.
Spend the rest surviving until next payday.
Then get lectured by someone who bought their house for £37,000 in 1988 about how you need to stop buying coffees and cancel subscriptions.

Roy Keane reveals that he has now spoken to Bruno Fernandes directly:
“He reached out to me, he wanted a chat. And do you know what? I did. I called him and we had a lovely chat.
Lovely chat about a bit of everything, really. But it was nice because again, when we do podcasts or games, sometimes you think you say something afterwards, you're trying to communicate something that doesn't come across properly. And people get upset and he wanted to speak to me.
And we had a nice mature conversation.
He apologized and we moved on [laughs]. I forgive him.
I think it was important I spoke to him because there's been lots going on and lots reported and he's obviously a big player for United. I'm an ex-United player and I think the idea of this communicate and have a kind of a proper conversation.
I really enjoyed it and hopefully I think he did, a nice chat about a bit of everything. Yeah, I felt better afterwards.” [@WeAreTheOverlap]
Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada spoke about the contradictions of human nature:
“Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one hardly ever use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a profound sense of loss, while others often complain about their living relatives. Those without a partner long for one, while those who have one often don't appreciate it. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the satiated complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of owning one, while those who have a car are always looking for a better one.”
The key to happiness is gratitude: truly seeing and appreciating what we already have, and understanding that somewhere, someone would give anything for what we take for granted.
When a human egg is fertilized, it releases an explosion of zinc fireworks visible under a microscope.
Every single human life starts with a flash of light. The universe did the same thing 13 billion years ago, just bigger.
This reminds me of when Islamists seized power in Iran 47 years ago, they replaced the ancient Lion and Sun flag, symbols of Persian heritage, with Arabic script spelling "Allah." It was a deliberate act of cultural erasure.
This same pattern continues today: radical Islamists gradually replace local symbols, languages, and traditions with their own as they expand influence across countries.
Radical Islamists do not belong in the West. They should leave the United States and return to the societies that match their values.
