I failed my A/Ls. Became a 3wheel driver. Worked as a cleaner in a small shop for Rs 100 a day. Learnt English myself. Became a teacher. Sat A/Ls at 30 with a lot of self-study. Entered the Law College through a competitive exam. Who holds you back is 'you'; not the government!

This. I failed A/Ls, taught myself programming and journalism basics while selling keyboards and dusting shelves at Majestic City, helped found @readmelk, studied data science, philosophy and linguistics, now a researcher and published author. No degree.
Want a job? Work for it.
