Amar Kolkata metro app showing there is no train available after 9.14 am from Girish park towards Tollygunge (Mahanayak Uttam kumar). Is it a technical fault or no train really running after that?

Mumbai, Maharashtra | IIT Bombay student suicide | IIT Bombay Faculty Forum stages a campus march to support Professor Suryanarayana Doolla, who has been suspended from the deanship of IIT Bombay.

2. If you continue, entrench & amplify the legacy problems created by the Nehruvian establishment, you must take responsibility for the current state of affairs instead of going back to Nehru. If 12 yrs isn't enough to at least stem the rot,it's not incompetence-it's intentional.
In the last few months : 3 students including Sahil have committed suicide at IIT.
The other 2 were GC students. Have u apologise for their deaths ? No kids should die ...maybe the fault is with IIT BOMBAY?
No professor should be falsely implicated!!!
DON'T MINCE WORDS !
What is happening with the IIT BOMBAY professor Dr Doolla is wrong! We neeed to stand up and fight against this injustice!
Education is being destroying this way. Who will stay in INDIA if this continues?
If we care about our beautiful INDIA, if we don't want brain drain, if we care for merit, let us stand up for Professor Dr Doolla!
2 other students committed suicide in IIT BOMBAY, they were from the GC.
We need to focus on IIT BOMBAY & why so many students committed suicide: not charge Professor Dr Doolla under the SC ST act.
TEAM BHARAT stands unconditionally with professor Dr Doolla.

IITs should focus solely on technical education and engineering. The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (H&SS) should not be part of IITs. Institutions established to produce engineers should remain free from ideological or political influence.
Humanities in IITs will destroy what IITs stand for.
2 more students died by suicide in last 6 months, in IIT Bombay.
-Naman Aggarwal
-Sohil Rajkumar Sangwan
They were GC students.
So their deaths wasn't labelled "caste discrimination".
Their parents didn't blame the IIT professors.
Social justice warriors didn't talk about them.
People will forget them. Govt will forget them.
Why?
Because they were GC students.
IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode was using a mobile phone during an examination and, according to IIT Bombay, he had uploaded the question paper to ChatGPT to seek answers.
However, IIT Bombay says that no disciplinary action was initiated against him. The instructor and Head of Department spoke with Sahil, counselled him, and assured him that the incident would not adversely affect his academic career.
Later, he died by suicide.
Sahil's family has given a different account of the circumstances. His father has alleged that Sahil faced mental harassment and caste-based abuse. The complaint names Professor Suryanarayan Doolla, who was the invigilator during the examination, and alleges that Sahil was threatened and subjected to caste-related remarks.
IIT-Bombay has denied allegations that student Sahil Wakode was threatened with suspension or subjected to caste-based discrimination following his death on campus.
The IIT-Bombay SC/ST cell also said it had received no complaint from Sahil alleging caste-based discrimination.
Police have registered a case of alleged abetment of suicide against Professor Suryanarayan Doolla and invoked provisions of the SC/ST Act following a complaint by his parents.
The case has now been transferred to the Crime Branch for investigation.
It does not matter what the outcome of the investigation and verdict is, this case will now be drawn into the politics of caste, and some intellectuals will inevitably frame it primarily through the lens of casteism.
And they will not discuss the fact that getting admission into an IIT is one thing, but studying and surviving academically inside an IIT can be an entirely different challenge. You know, coping with the academic pressure, surviving the rigorous coursework, and appearing for and clearing examinations inside an IIT is not an easy task.
Very soon, this case will become a subject of national-level political debate, not about the academic pressure, but about caste, even before the investigation is complete or a judgment is delivered.
A woman Radhika Tiwari was travelling on the Danapur–Secunderabad Express without a ticket.
When the TTE asked her to show her ticket, she started tearing her own clothes, accusing the TTE of molestation and threatening to call the police and take action against him.
But there was something she apparently did not realise.
The entire confrontation was being recorded.
A fellow passenger sitting in front of her had recorded the incident on his phone. The TTE was also recording the interaction.
When the train reached Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel had already been alerted and took the woman off the train for questioning.
The recording was then shown to the RPF, providing a video account of what had happened inside the coach.
Just imagine if there had been no phone recording and no video evidence of what happened inside that train.
By now, the story could have been something completely different. News reports could have claimed that the TTE had molested and physically assaulted a woman, while he could have ended up losing his job and even spending time in jail for something he did not do.
She must be punished and made an example of. False accusations should never come without consequences.
> A Student Is Caught Using A Phone In An IIT Bombay Exam.
> Professor catches him.
> The Same Evening, He Dies By Suicide.
Then An FIR Under The "SC/ST Act" Is Filed Against The Professor 🤯
Stop. Read that again.
If a professor catches a student using a phone to upload an exam paper to ChatGPT, WHAT EXACTLY IS HE SUPPOSED TO DO?
Look away?
Pretend he saw nothing?
Give him a chocolate and say, “Beta, please don’t do it again”?
Academic malpractice has to be dealt with. Due process must protect everyone.
And if caste abuse actually occurred, investigate it ruthlessly. But isn't this PURE MISUSE of this act?
> Are professors now expected to check a student's CASTE when academic malpractice happens?
The IIT Bombay student suicide is claimed as "caste-discrimination".
Now let's see the suicide data from central institutions (2014-21)👇
Total suicides=122
SC/ST/OBC=68
GC=54
Question is-
If caste-discrimination is killing SC/ST/OBC students,
what is killing GC students????
It will have long term disastrous consequences if the director of @iitbombay resigns. The director and the institute cannot held responsible by any stretch of imagination if a student commits suicide after caught cheating in the exam.
As the news flow over mainstream and social media at the moment, the institute did not take any disciplinary action and rather counseled the student. What more an institute can do?
If we want to build strong characters, and maintain academic integrity and standard, we cannot simply accept that it is okay to cheat in the exam.
I am deeply concerned about the dilution in the academic rigor that has already happened in IITs over the years. Now if the director resigns, the dilution will get a further boost.
Institutes should not respond to knee-jerk reactions in the social media. Rather they should focus on building robust frameworks to address issues.
What do these students exactly want other than mindlessly protesting?
The student was cheating in exam. He was caught doing it. There are tens of student witnesses. IIT Bombay didn't even take action against him (they should have). He still ends himself.
Every young death is tragic. But what do students what? Cheating should be allowed when they want and minister must resign in other cases?
@ANI So a student can threaten to suicide in case of disciplinary action for malpractices in exams. Hence using it as an excuse to avoid disciplinary actions to be taken to prevent suicide.
You may have heard the news that the Rohingya settlement in Jammu has now been vacated following action by the authorities.
Media reports said that the settlement was located in the Narwal–Kiryani Talab area of Jammu.
But did you know what this settlement had come to be known as?
It was popularly known as Burma Market or Burma Colony. This settlement spread across around 40 kanals of land.
Jammu & Kashmir does not share a border with Myanmar. But there is a significant Rohingya presence and settlement in parts of J&K, particularly in Jammu.
1) Why are immigrants who entered India illegally from Bangladesh or Myanmar reaching and settling so far away in J&K?
2) Who facilitated their movement, and how were they able to establish themselves in J&K?
It clearly seems that there is an organised network facilitating illegal migration and settlement in J&K. And they are also targeting Jammu through demographic change.
Imagine lying in a hospital room, watching an IV line drip away your remaining life.
You are weak and terrified, but you endure the agony of chemotherapy because every drop represents hope, another birthday, another chance to watch your children grow. You hold your partner’s hand and pray the treatment works.
You die three months later. Your family grieves, believing the cancer was just too aggressive, never knowing that your fight was stolen from you before it even began. You weren't killed by a disease; you were executed by someone's profit margin.
The SIT arrested Veeresh Jain in Bengaluru for allegedly being involved in supplying fake anticancer medicines to more than 90 hospitals and clinics in Bengaluru, allegedly offering them at discounts of around 50 percent. Jain had been running this business for the last five years. His pharmacy allegedly repacked fake and expired medicines and relabelled them as drugs from big brands.
How many hundreds of men, women, and children in the last five years have fought with everything they had, kept their spirits up, and thought that staying positive would help the chemo work better, only to be handed a death sentence wrapped in counterfeit packaging? How many families emptied their life savings to buy bottled salt water while their loved ones faded away?
The most horrific part is that this is not an isolated case. It is happening with complete impunity across the country, only coming to light on the rare occasion that someone actually gets caught.
