My friend @Maheshpurohit06 has written a post in Gujarati and I am posting a @grok translation here. Hat’s off to Maheshbhai Purohit🫡

Here’s the full English translation of the Gujarati text:
Success is the greatest revenge…
We have an English newspaper here called ‘The Indian Express’. When Dhurandhar was released in parts 01-02, this newspaper gave it 2.5/5 and 2/5 star ratings respectively. These are the kind of ratings usually given to super flop films.
Now, when the film Dhurandhar has taken over everywhere — theaters, discussions, and public buzz — the same newspaper, in its own award show ‘Screen Play’, has given the film 13 awards! Yes, 13 awards!
But the story doesn’t end here. No one from the Dhurandhar team even showed up to accept any of these awards.
Let me tell you — these awards are the biggest hypocrisy of the Bollywood ecosystem.
Through such functions, they maintain intellectual control over Bollywood. Newcomers who enter the industry are made victims of this ecosystem. Those who don’t align with their ideology are treated the same way society boycotts or ostracizes people here.
Aditya Dhar, a fresh and talented director, didn’t take any shortcuts. Instead, he poured his full energy into making a solid film. And the audience wholeheartedly embraced it. To all those award parties and functions — take that! 😎
The matter is not over yet. The entire ecosystem is now crying and complaining that not attending their function is an insult to the organizers.
Come on! Did Aditya ever beg you for any awards? You had to desperately give awards to Dhurandhar just to make your own award show look glamorous and relevant. If you had genuinely liked the film, you wouldn’t have given it 2.5 and 2 stars in the first place.
Note: Work with so much dedication and excellence that even your enemies are forced to give you awards just to save their own existence.

Dhurandhar may have earned money, fame, and applause for portraying the lives of spies on screen… but take a moment to think beyond the spotlight.
Somewhere, in the shadows of hostile lands like Pakistan, there are real, unnamed heroes working silently—ensuring that every threat is neutralized before it reaches our homes. They ask for no recognition, no applause, no reward.
No amount of crores, no measure of fame, could ever match the courage, sacrifice, and quiet resilience they embody every single day—so that we and our families can sleep peacefully under the safety of our nation.
A heartfelt salute to these unknown warriors.
We live in your debt—today, tomorrow, always. 🇮🇳

@INFLUENCESUBCON Outstanding writing! The first 2 chapters are a masterclass on understanding dopamine and amygdala. Simple yet effective choice of words.
There’s a particular cruelty in cricket’s numbers when you’re a pace bowler. The sport will worship a quick who can touch 150kph even if his average hovers around 30, but a bowler who runs in with the intensity of a man trying to push a broken-down car uphill? He needs to prove himself in triplicate just to get his kit bag in the dressing room...
Michael Neser has 423 first class wickets at 23 odd average. He also has 4000+ runs at average around 30. Those are allrounder numbers. Yet until last month, Neser’s entire Test career could be summarized in a coffee break: 2 matches, in last 4 years, each appearance feeling like Australia had remembered they had a spare key hidden under the doormat...
Stat sheet doesn’t tell you about the 2010 Shield debut, when a 20 year old Neser dismissed Adam Voges and Shaun Marsh; two batters who’d go on to play Test cricket, whose Test careers would begin after that game & end before Neser got his baggy green. It doesn’t tell you about the countless times he’d be the best bowler in Shield, only to watch the selectors fax in another squad with his name in the “emergency only” column...
“I feared my Test career was over,” Neser admitted last summer, and you could hear the exhaustion in that sentence. Not the dramatic exhaustion of a torn ACL or a stress fracture, but the quiet, grinding fatigue of a man who’d torn his hamstring playing Australia A against India A at the MCG; 12 months on the shelf for a glorified practice match. The kind of injury that happens to players who are always available, always dependable, always one phone call away from being told “we need you to carry drinks and maybe bowl 12 overs in nets if it rains.”
Neser, at 35, became the human equivalent of that reliable sedan in your garage; works perfectly, gets you everywhere, but everyone’s dreaming about the sports car they can’t afford.
And then, the twist. Gabba 2025.
Last minute selection over Nathan Lyon, a decision that had Shane Warne’s ghost reaching for the whiskey. A 35 year old on his home ground, picked ahead of the greatest off-spinner of the modern era. The controversy was delicious. The vindication? Even better.
Neser’s Test progression reads like a man who’s tired of being the backup plan.
1st Test: 2 wickets. 2nd Test: 5. 3rd Test: 6. 4th Test: 4 in the first innings at MCG, each wicket a middle finger to the idea that you need 90mph to succeed in Australia. He has never gone wicketless in an innings. Not once!
In this series where England built their entire philosophy around speed; Wood, Archer, Carse, Atkinson. Neser & Scott Boland have tilted this Ashes by proving that 5 good balls an over beats one thunderbolt followed by four half-volleys...
Depth of Australian fast bowling didn’t just keep Neser out of the side; it forged him into something harder, sharper, more complete. While others were being rested & rotated, he was bowling in Cardiff, batting in Glamorgan, learning to be the player you’d build a team around even if nobody ever did...
You won’t find many pace bowlers with those numbers, in any country, in any era, still waiting for their moment. But then, you won’t find many cricketers like Michael Neser...
He doesn’t need speed. He has got something better: perseverance. And finally, the opportunity.
Let’s get this straight.
If a touring side wants to win in Australia, someone has to volunteer for the longest day.
Pujara did it twice.
In 2018/19 and 2020/21, Eight Tests. Same attack. Same intent. Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, Lyon asking the same questions, again and again.
Pujara responded with repetition of his own.
2,186 balls faced across two BGT wins in Aus. No batter across those series even crossed half of that. That gap is not statistical. It is psychological.
In matches India won or saved, he absorbed 1,905 deliveries. Eleven innings. That's a staggering 173 balls per inning. Long enough for plans to feel stale. Long enough for patience to fray.
His 792 runs came at 52.8. That is the neat part. The untidy part was what it did to Australia. Spells extended. Plans recycled. Patience tested.
His runs mattered. The time mattered more.
Adelaide 2018/19.
MCG 2018/19.
Sydney 2018/19.
Sydney 2020/21.
Brisbane 2020/21.
Different years. Same role.
That is the playbook.
@cheteshwar1
I was trained to fight Wars.
She was never trained for the kind of battles, she fought every day.
When I left for NDA, I was 18.
A BOY full of pride,
Carrying a steel trunk and dreams.
When I got Commissioned,
I was 22 : A MAN in uniform.
But the day I Married her,
I realised the true meaning of courage...
Not in Bullets, but in Patience.
The first time I got posted to the border,
She didn’t cry.
She just smiled and said,
“Bas phone karte rehna.”
And when the phone didn’t connect for days,
She still smiled when her parents asked, “Kaisa hai beta?”
She’s been smiling through uncertainty ever since.
She celebrates #Diwali by herself.
Lights diyas in every corner of our small SF quarter...
Says it makes her feel I’m home.
One year, the electricity went out.
She told me later how she sat in darkness, lighting candles one by one, whispering to my Mom :
“He must be lighting diyas on the border too.”
That night, I was under a tarpaulin tent, eating cold poori and pickle from a dented mess tin.
#Karwachauths come and go.
She dresses up, puts on sindoor, opens the video call, and smiles through a weak network..
“Main dekh liya, tum khana khao.”
The call drops before I can even reply.
She handles everything.
From paying bills online to fixing the water motor.
When the car broke down,
she learned to push-start it.
When I couldn’t come home for medical emergencies,
she sat in the hospital alone,
praying to every god she knew.
Through it all, she never complains.
Not once.
She once had a promising career
a steady job, her own desk, colleagues, and a sense of independence she had built with quiet pride.
But when I got my first peace posting,
She made a choice most won’t understand.
She left it all behind..
Not because she had to,
but because she wanted to be with us.
She said, “What’s the point of building a career if it keeps us apart?”
Since then, every posting, every move, every new city has been her project ..
Rebuilding a home from scratch, Without complaint,
Without applause.
She keeps my medals polished but tells me softly..
“Don’t bring more medals,
if they cost us more years Apart.”
I’ve realised that the bravest salute isn’t given on the parade ground..
it’s given silently...
..by a woman waving from a railway platform.
They don’t wear stars on their shoulders,
but they carry the weight of our absence,
With grace.
So if you ever meet a soldier,
Salute twice ..
once for him,
and once for his Wife
that keeps him strong.
Because I may have fought for the Nation,
but she fought for my life.
And she won every single time.
❤️ To every military wife,
YOU are the unseen medal
We proudly wear. 🫡
#KarwaChauth2025 ❤️ #Love
Every person that opposed this needs to be publically shamed.
Right from the Thackerays and B'wood actors who never use public transport to the ones who supported the protests. Everyone.
Opposing a project that provided relief to so many while also taking cars off our streets and reducing carbon emissions should result in complete and absolute loss of credibility to a point where they should be ashamed to even speak on a public forum.
For a country as dense as India, public transport is THE solution to a lot of our urban woes and Fadnavis and Ashwini Bhide deserve all the praise in the world for seeing this through. Absolute legends.
Remembering today on his birth anniversary GN Ramachandran, the genius who should have got not one or two but three Nobel prizes - for Collagen; ΦΨ plot; and Tomography. Forget Nobel or Bharatratna, he wasn't even awarded a Padma - any Padma.
A Forgotten Hero of Indian Science.
Ravindra Jadeja has actually fucking scored 500 runs this series with 100 actual fucking average, if anyother away allrounder did this in a sena country, the world would’ve gone mad, but unfortunately Ravindra Jadeja is the least appreciated cricketer of our time.
Sunil Gavaskar genuinely likes the Indian team too much & that is why sometimes he can't control his anger/frustration. He speaks in a tough/rough language but celebrates them (Indian cricketers) like his grandsons too. And never bootlicks. Can't hate the man for this.
- 18 Asians have 30+ wickets in England in Tests.
- 7 Asians have 1,000+ runs in England in Tests.
RAVINDRA JADEJA IS THE ONLY ONE TO MAINTAIN BOTH. 🤯🇮🇳
52 LAKHS for 160 plastic water jugs?
That’s ₹32,500 per jug! Are these made of gold @ChhattisgarhGov?
This is how public money meant for tribal welfare is looted shamelessly, under the nose of the system.
Who approved this? Who benefits from this scam?
