@ShreyasIyer15, captain of India's T20 side, has made a strategic equity investment in Manifest Global. His first of its kind. Not a fee, not a campaign. A position.

He could have taken a fee to talk about us. He asked to own a piece of us instead.

Here is what makes it land for me. Shreyas has lived the gap we exist to close. A coach picked him out as a schoolboy in Mumbai, before the caps, before the captaincy, before he had done anything at all. In his words: "Every child needs one person like that. Most never get one. That is the problem worth solving."

That is the whole company in three sentences.

By 2030 the world will be short 85 million workers. Every one of them is already alive. The shortage is not a shortage of people. It is a shortage of routes. A student in Ahmedabad who has never met anyone who studied abroad has the capability but not the path. In India a single counsellor can carry thousands of students, and most young people make the biggest decision of their lives on hearsay.

Manifest is building the infrastructure that closes that distance, across @cialfoplatform, BridgeU, Explore, @KaaiserAus , and @Edugo_Abroad, in more than 150 countries.

India's cricket captain betting his own money on that is not the headline. The headline is what he is betting on: that where you start should not decide how far your talent can travel.

Last week, we doubled Manifest Global’s space in New Delhi — where policy, education and one of the world’s youngest workforces come together.

Grateful to Deputy High Commissioner Sumaya Baqavi and @SGinIndia, alongside leaders across government and embassies from India, US, Aus, Germany, Switzerland for marking the milestone with us.

The last century built infrastructure to move goods and capital. This century needs infrastructure to move talent.

The floors are open. Now, back to building.

Today was truly a special day as I found myself back in China after five long years, anchoring the @cialfoplatform -@ucas_corporate Mega Summit in #Beijing. The warmth and familiarity of meeting our Beijing counselor community in person was something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time!

Maintaining the momentum from our previous pit stops, we fostered a robust platform for an insightful exploration of the dynamic UK college admissions landscape with our partner universities and counselor community. The remarkable 85% surge in applications from China to UK universities over the last two years on Cialfo is a testament to the strength and efficacy of our collaborations with UCAS and UK institutions, supercharged by Cialfo’s Direct Apply tool!
