Bank employees power India’s financial stability, inclusion, and growth—often at the cost of their own well-being. A 5-day work week is not a concession; it’s a long-pending reform. The commitment is on record. It must be implemented.
#BankersDemand5DayWeek#AIBOC@fboioa_india
All monetary authority of banking, trade, DFS, stock exchange, insurance, state govts enjoy 5 days working and work life balance but bankers still waiting.
We Demand 5 days banking.
#5DayBankingNow
@aiboc_in We urge the central government to support the proposal for a 5-day work week for banks. This change will enhance productivity, improve employee well-being, and align our practices with international standards.

Thank you, Hon’ble Prime Minister, for your appreciation of PSU Banks. The employees and officers in public sector banks are dedicatedly serving the citizens of this country 24/7, despite facing staff shortages and numerous workplace challenges. The employee-to-customer ratio in private banks is significantly higher compared to public sector banks.
To secure better working conditions for public sector bankers, an agreement was reached between the IBA and Banking Unions and Associations on 8th March 2024 to introduce a ‘5-day work week’ in banks. We kindly request your esteemed office to intervene and officially declare a ‘5-day work week’ for the banking sector. This will help reduce stress and fatigue thereby improving the productivity of bank employees and enabling them to serve the fellow citizens with renewed enthusiasm.

Wage revision is our WANT but #5DaysBanking is our NEED. We don't want to deviate from our legitimate demand we are struggling for a decade. We will not deviate from UFBU's stand that we will sign when the 5day's Banking will be declared by the Govt.
@nsitharaman@PMOIndia@UFBUIndia
Kudos to UFBU leadership for taking the decision to sign bipartite settlement only when Govt will declare #5DaysBanking ,which is very dearer to the heart of Bankers & the need of the hour. Bankers are waiting for it since 2015.Enough is enough

Respected Prime Minister,
We thank you for recognising and lauding dedicated Bank employees for their commendable efforts in implementing vital social security schemes. The share of Public Sector Banks is 97% in PM Jan Dhan Yojana, 96% PM in PM JeevanJyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and 93% in Atal Pension Yojana and Kisan Credit Cards, apart from significant lending to priority sector, infrastructure sector and strategic sectors.
We request your attention to the following pressing issues for the motivation and welfare of the Banking workforce:
1. Through digital transformation, the Banking services are made available 24x7 through various means for all citizens.
Thus, Implementing of a long pending issue of 5-day work week will enhance work-life balance and boost productivity, ensuring the well-being of employees. #5DayWorkWeek #WorkLifeBalance
2. Also, urgently addressing pending wage revision will recognize the hard work and dedication of employees, providing them with their rightful dues.
3. A prompt pension updation is necessary to secure the future of retired employees, offering them financial stability and peace of mind.
4. Introduction of an assured pension scheme will further safeguard the interests of the young workforce, providing them with a reliable and stable retirement plan.
5. The customer to employee ratio is not par in PSBs. Recruitment of adequate staff in Public Sector Banks would further strengthen the PSBs in serving the nation.
We hope you will consider these requests and take necessary actions for the betterment of the workforce. 🙏🏽
