CISF at Shirdi Airport, in coordination with the NGO “Parivartan – Ek Nayi Soch,” organized an Awareness Session on PWD/PRM (Persons with Disabilities/Passengers with Reduced Mobility) to enhance sensitivity and preparedness in facilitating passengers with special needs.

The session was delivered by Mr. Ankush Khokhar and Ms. Sakshi Khokhar from the NGO. Through an interactive presentation and audiovisual material, the speakers sensitized CISF personnel and other airport stakeholders on the importance of empathetic behaviour, respectful communication, and proactive assistance while assisting PWD/PRM and senior citizen passengers at the airport.

Shri Amish Kumar, DC/CASO, along with representatives of other key stakeholders, actively participated in the interactive session. The programme highlighted that awareness and coordinated efforts among CISF and all airport stakeholders are vital to ensure smooth, dignified and hassle-free travel for passengers with special needs, while promoting an inclusive and passenger-friendly airport environment.
