You could see how much representing Manchester United meant to Shea Lacey – and how much an exciting, 19-year-old home-grown winger who plays for the shirt means to the fans. Lacey embodies what United should be about. Fearlessness, width and academy-nurtured. Positive, quick and tenacious (boxing genes). Got an assist v Roma (clever, firm pass to Cunha), could have had a penalty, helped out at right-back. Should he start v Aston Villa on Sunday? Maybe he’ll have a greater impact still off the bench, still learning, can’t heap too much pressure on Lacey, but certainly get him on earlier than 75 mins. #MUFC
The only change at MUFC is that Michael Carrick will play centre mid at Chelsea. Plus Jonny Evans will return as a central defender.
Any delay was because Evans wanted confirmation that he wouldn't win the Ballon d'Or last night.
He has a point to prove.
They all do.
Big time
He is 32 years old 🇵🇹
Cried when he signed for Manchester United
Refused to move to Switzerland with his family as a kid, threatening to run away to chase his football dreams.
Got emotional reading a fan letter urging him not to change amid criticism.
Celebrates goals by covering his ears as a tribute to his daughter who does the same
Felt "sad" when Declan Rice chose Arsenal over a potential United partnership
Chose to stay at United during tough times, prioritizing loyalty over huge Saudi offers.
Wears number 8 in honor of his birthday (8th September) and his father's old shirt number.
His mother provided emotional strength during a traumatic fan attack at Sporting
He gets teary when fans or reporters praise his leadership and availability
Played in his grandfather's old boots as a kid, symbolizing humble beginnings.
Married his childhood sweetheart Ana Pinho, who supported him through tough early career moves.
He is a father to Matilde and Gonçalo, passing on family values of hard work and love

To be honest, we have to acknowledge the availability of Bruno Fernandes and how loyal he is to his team.
I have watched a lot of his games, both national and club, and I've seen how much emotions he puts into every game.
You'd know clearly that he holds the team so dearly to his heart.
.
.
Now for your reading this...
I want you to take something away from Bruno
And it's that fulfillment matters in the long run, than just making a ton of money.
Bruno Fernandes is in Manchester United because he feels sooo fulfilled playing in there.
He recognises that legacy has to be built and solidified.
This is something that you should take serious too.
.
.
Your fulfilment is important as well. And in whatever you want to do, make sure you guage how fulfilled you'll be in that thing.
It Fosters longevity and makes you push through even during slow seasons.
Burno might be having a slow season currently, but his overall dedication, hardwork and love for the game will triumph eventually.
.
.
Just like you will too 🫂
Don't lose hope. It's not over yet. It's not.

I don't know what Omar Berrada is shaking his head for, what do you fucking expect when you think it's a great idea just to buy midfielders in the summer and expect to be able to compete for trophies? We are back in the Champions League and playing other competitions, yet that prick as well as his clowns Jason Wilcox, and Jim Ratcliffe can't back Carrick, so what do you think is going to happen? Idiots!
Omar Berrada said previous that it's the clubs aim to win the League by 2028... I don't know what he is smoking, but he needs to wake up, he's just a deluded City reject who is not fit to be CEO!
The club is fucking rotten, stems with the Glazers, who couldn't give a shit about the football club, and SJR and his incompetent cronies haven't got a clue what they are doing, none of them can be trusted to make key football decisions.
I didn't think we could get any worse when SJR came in, but it bloody has, he came in to a toxic environment, and all he and his fucking 'best in class' have done is make things twice as bad.
Jason Wilcox is not fit to make ANY football decision at Manchester United, and needs to fucking leave immediately with the rest of the cancers within that hierarchy!!
All this talk of Michael Carrick being sacked, okay, but what about those twats at the top? #MUFC
Michael Carrick will doubtless pay the price with his job for this deserved defeat to an excellent Bournemouth side and another lifeless display by his Manchester United team. Some of his selections and tactics have been questionable, United were again so open in the centre. But Carrick was not responsible for recruiting Youri Tielemans, who lacks physicality and mobility (and Aston Villa haven’t missed him) and Andrey Santos, a Chelsea reserve.
Carrick was not responsible for the board’s damaging failure to strengthen at centre-back and left-back. Carrick was not responsible for his main striker Benjamin Sesko being injured and the board’s failure to provide him with cover. Carrick was not responsible for the club he loves being in the grip of co-owners like the Glazers whose priorities are focused more on business than the sport. The direction from the top has been negligible, arguably negligent. No real leadership. No expertise.
Carrick may be out of his depth but many United fans sang his name during the painful demise to Bournemouth because they know he cares and they know the problems lie elsewhere. The Stretford End again sang in protest at the wretched Glazers.
Noticeable that there were few songs in support of Bruno Fernandes. He is supposed to be captain, rallying the players, Footballer of the Year, Player of the Year, not arm-waver of the year, underachieving and complaining. Yet Bruno will be at United longer than Carrick.
Carrick was praised for United finishing third last season and getting in the Champions League. But he will doubtless go partly for his own failings and mainly the failings of others. And United will be trapped in this doom loop again. And again until the core problems are addressed in the boardroom - and the Glazers sell up - and flaws in the recruitment department. #MUFC #MUNBOU
🚨🗣 - Owen Hargreaves:
"At Man Utd, if you're going to sign players, you sign players that should help you win the Premier League and Champions League, not because you can buy them for £50m or £60m.
"Man Utd have LOST their way."
After an extensive review process of other candidates, INEOS best in class experts decided that Erik ten Hag was the right man for the job, they sacked him by October 28th. After an extensive review process, INEOS best in class experts decided that Michael Carrick was the right man for the job, he will be sacked by October 26th. These people don’t know what they’re doing.
Stretford End the only good part of today:
- ‘Best in Class, you're having a laugh’
- ‘Jason Wilcox, you're a wanker’
- ‘Stick your new stadium up your arse’
- ‘Sell United and fuck off home’
- ‘It's Carrick you know’
It shows the integrity of the man that even when his players have thrown him under the bus, he still takes all the blame.
He deserved better, it’s such a shame how things have panned out.
Extraordinary opening address from Michael Carrick at his press conference, he looks like a broken man. What a difference it would make if others at Manchester United care the way that he clearly does.
Those who hired him are cowards, have hung him out to dry & stay in hiding.
