When she was born, she was deprived of government schemes because she was a Thakur.

When she went to school, she was denied government scholarships because she was a Thakur.

When she went to college, she had to achieve the highest cutoff score because she was a Thakur.

So why shouldn't this girl proudly call herself a Thakur?

When people holding constitutional positions like the Prime Minister, President, and Chief Ministers openly declare their caste as Dalit or backward and express pride in it, then Brahmins and Thakurs also have every right to be proud of their caste.

But wait.
we live in a country where
Caste certificates are issued officially.

People proudly mention caste on forms, matrimony ads, in Govt schemes.
Entire careers are built using caste-based benefits.
Votes are literally asked in the name of caste.

And all of this is normal.

yet one girl simply says what everyone already uses, and boom , " national outrage".

Using caste for admissions = ok
Using caste for jobs = ok
Using caste for politics = ok
Using caste for marriage = ok

but saying "thakur hoon main" = crime against humanity?

Classic Indian society logic.

we don’t hate caste.
we hate being reminded of it.
we enjoy the privilege quietly,
but get triggered when someone says it loudly.

That’s not equality, That’s convenience.

welcome to India where caste exists on paper, in policy, in practice…but suddenly becomes "wrong" when spoken out loud.
