The entire city is now stinking. Mountains of waste, foul smell everywhere - residents can’t even open windows.

@PhilipJohnston @GavinSBaker @starcloud_ The end-user experience will feel seamless (low-latency cloud AI), but under the hood it’s very much OSI-layered satellite internet + inter-satellite lasers, not a direct phone-to-H100 link. Excited to see where Starcloud takes this either way!

Great milestone with the H100 in orbit! Quick technical point though — phones won’t talk “directly” to the orbital data center, right? They’ll still go phone → terrestrial internet → gateway → Starlink satellite → laser hops → your satellite, then back the same way. So same layered routing as today, just with laser-accelerated backbone. Still super cool, but not a direct RF link from the handset. Am I missing something? 🚀@PhilipJohnston @elonmusk
