All advocates must unite against police brutality and government arrogance.

Advocates are on strike after police allegedly beat up lawyers at Shahdara Police Station. Lawyers alleged police took bribes to not arrest the accused.

Instead of registering a case against the SHO, police registered an FIR against the advocates.

This is similar to when journalists demanded an FIR for molestation against ACP Vivek Bhagat, but police later registered an FIR against the journalist for casteist comments against him.

Bar Councils should have spoken then. They must stand for justice. Our freedom movement was led by lawyers.
