“(Feels Like) Heaven” is from Fiction Factory’s 1984 debut album Throw the Warped Wheel Out. The shimmering new-wave classic became the Scottish band's signature song, reaching #6 on the UK Singles Chart, #2 in Switzerland, and the Top 10 in Germany and Ireland. Its combination of atmospheric synthesizers, melodic guitar and Kevin Patterson's distinctive vocals made it one of the most memorable new-wave hits of the early 1980s.
Originally released as a single in December 1983, the song became Fiction Factory's breakthrough hit in early 1984. Although the band released further singles and albums, none matched the international success of “(Feels Like) Heaven.”
