Before time zones were a popular concept, they told about a Rabbi (my more erudite friends here will remember his name), who stayed praying and studying for an hour after the end of the Yom Kippur fast.
Because he reasoned everyone would be eating, and the world should not stay a whole hour without Torah study.
This morning, as everyone involved with Israel(who merits the denomination of "human being ") will rejoice, I invite you to join me in offering a hand and a hug to the bereaved families of the soldiers and other heroes'who gave their lives, or their limbs, so this could happen.
If you know some, give them a call or send them a message.
If not, just write a post or answer hereunder. I'll send it to a bereaved families forum I know.
May we know consolation.

CNN presents this child eating sand as undeniable proof that there’s no flour or food in Gaza.
Since CNN clearly acted in good faith and didn’t mean to mislead anyone, let’s just show what’s open right around the corner from that scene.

Mansour Ltd Lebanese Grill Takeaway Box, located at 37 Station Road in Willesden, is owned and operated by Mansour Farag Ali Mohamed Yehia, an Egyptian. They are using footage of Iranian missile strikes on Tel Aviv to promote their restaurant business. We believe this is his picture. Cc @metpoliceuk@Brent_Council
Yesterday when @ZohranKMamdani was asked a direct question about what he thought of the phrase 'globalize the intifada', he dismissed it as “language “that is subject to interpretation". That is not only wrong - it is dangerous. At a time when we are seeing antisemitism on the rise and in fact witnessing once again violence against Jews resulting in their deaths in Washington DC or their burning in Denver - we know all too well that words matter. They fuel hate. They fuel murder. As the US Holocaust Museum so aptly said, all leaders or those running for office must condemn the use of this battle cry. There are no two sides here.
There is nothing complicated about what this means. I call on all candidates running for mayor to join together to denounce Mr. Mamdani's comments because hate has no place in New York
Hmm, let me think. I actually lived in Iran for the first 23 years of my life. We were chanting “death to Israel” starting at age seven. I clearly remember growing up with giant countdown banners on highways showing how many days were left until Israel’s annihilation, very wholesome stuff for kids.
Our school textbooks were full of quotes from the Supreme Leader about wiping Israel off the map. And of course, every year, like clockwork, they dragged us out for marches to “liberate Al-Aqsa” and “destroy Israel.” Super educational field trips, really.
Iran’s support for Hamas started with the Islamic Republic. On October 7th, they backed attacks on civilians, then fired at Israel through Hezbollah and the Houthis. They’ve been screaming about nukes and Israel’s destruction since I was a kid and surprise, they’ve been acting on it for years through their little proxy groups.
But now here comes Johnny from suburban America, telling me my lived experience is a lie?
The audacity is truly next level.
Incredible news out of the Weizmann Institute, just days after Iranian missiles destroyed parts of its campus.
The European Research Council (ERC AdG) announced its latest grant winners. Israel took home 12. Weizmann alone won 6!
To put that in perspective: Oxford University, with a faculty many times the size, won only 7.
And here’s the kicker—Weizmann doesn’t even have departments in the social sciences or humanities. Still, it outperformed entire countries.
A stunning achievement.
My lab at @WeizmannScience was completely demolished by the Iranian missile a few days ago. This is hard and sad as nothing was left to save. We study heart regeneration and regenerative medicine. As such, we will regenerate, regrow and rebuild. The one thing that wasn't gone is our motivation said one of my student. It is true. Here, I would like to thank many of my friends around the globe that offer their help, space and support. I really appreciate that.
What a peculiar country, Israel.
While Iranian missiles rain down on us, 200,000 Israelis abroad are scrambling to come home.
Not away from danger, but toward it.
I love my Nation of Lions🇮🇱
This isn’t just any rescue.
This is the rescue of a Holocaust survivor that was trapped under rubble after Iran’s missile barrages.
Our soldiers from the Home Front Command were able to save him.
Time and time again, we have been tested by those who threaten our existence, but we will continue to prevail and protect our people.
