Since Amazon MGM Studios won't even read an email from a dedicated Stargate fan ('unsolicited submission materials'), which must be bad for business, here's the full content of the email (subject is the axing of Stargate):
Dear Amazon Studios Leadership,
I am writing as a longtime Stargate fan to express my deep disappointment at the cancellation of Martin Gero’s new Stargate series and to ask that you reconsider.
Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, and Universe ran for seventeen seasons and built one of the most loyal fanbases in science fiction television. I have been part of that audience for years. I buy Prime Video subscriptions. I watch Amazon originals. I am exactly the viewer you are trying to reach.
The reported reason for the cancellation — that the show was too focused on existing fans — misunderstands how franchise revivals work. You do not build a new audience by abandoning the existing one. You build it by honoring the existing audience first and using their enthusiasm to bring new viewers in alongside them. That is precisely what Martin Gero, Brad Wright, and Joe Mallozzi were doing.
Please restore the Gero Stargate project, or at minimum commit to a revival that respects the franchise’s seventeen seasons of canon and brings back the creative team that built it.
The gate is ready to open again. Please let it.
Thank you for your time. @AmazonMGMStudio@BaronDestructo@MichaelShanks@GateWorld@dial_the_gate@fandompulse@disparutoo

@TheCriticalDri2 I wonder if Amazon MGM Studios is take offguard by what they've stirred up, while they haven't even officially announced the cancellation yet. My timeline on X is filled to the brim with #SaveStargate posts. Doing my bit as well.

It's a real real shame that Amazon is not going to be moving ahead with it.
Youtube movie critic The Critical Drinker, during his Open Bar panel, unloads on the Stargate revival cancellation:
"It's a shame because I feel like this was one of the the few examples where a modern sort of reresurrection of an old IP, not like Buffy, which they were going to do, actually had potential to be okay. You know, I'm not going to pretend it would have necessarily been amazing. I don't know what the scripts were going to do or anything, but like everything they were saying about it in terms of how faithful it was bringing back some of the SG-1 characters and stuff. All of that was just making the right moves for how you resurrect something like this. And so it's a real real shame that they're not going to be moving ahead with it."

Hey @amazon and @AmazonMGMStudio, please reverse your decision on the new Stargate show. Fans want to see it, let it happen, and give Martin Gero and his team free reign with it.
You can still do the right thing!
Amazon killed the new #Stargate series that was already written & in production from the original creators
Their reasoning: it was to true to the source material & the original fanbase
@amazon@AmazonMGMStudio have no idea what they’ve done😤😡
@JeffBezos this is unacceptable
A few days ago, at an event where a full size #Stargate was presented. Richard Dean Anderson was there too and it was full of many different people coming just for this.
The fanbase is made of different generations.
The original recipe works don't give that up @AmazonMGMStudio
Michael Shanks is now actively campaigning to save Stargate after Amazon canceled the new series from Martin Gero.
The actor behind Dr. Daniel Jackson says if fans want a Stargate show involving the original creators and cast, now is the time to speak up.
Thanks @PopcastGuys for citing my post! And a huge thank you for that fantastic Stargate: The Definitive History of the Franchise! video on YouTube — I loved it!
Just for the record: the content of my email was taken directly from a post by @FandomPulse. I 100% agreed with the sentiment: https://t.co/0qEH4JDvwp
Stargate needs YOUR help! ✨This your daily reminder to keep asking Amazon MGM to reverse their latest decision regarding the show. Respectfully put out there WHY.
We and MANY others want Stargate from the OGs @martingero@bradtravelers@BaronDestructo who gave us fans HOURS of Stargate television over the years.
The show WAS aimed at a broader audience. It was marketed as such in the initial video drop for the announcement.
You can respect what’s come before and start a new.
Stargate Atlantis did it. Stargate Universe got there in season 2. This team knew how to do what you needed Amazon?
Executive musical chairs should not be the reason this got cancelled. It was fine before? Why not now?
We need to bring this back! So NEW fans can enjoy this franchise with us. #stargate
