Consigning the Marc Riley show to a few hours at night flies in the face of the original 2013 remit by almost totally eradicating live, indie & unusual vintage music from daytime programming.

Will @BBC6Music explain why its changing its 2013 remit ie “celebrates alternative spirit in popular music from 1960s to the present day..programmes juxtapose current releases outside the mainstream with earlier recordings, inc music from the BBC Archive..support live music..”?

@BBC6Music Please explain why we’re losing the type of music that Marc Riley plays from 7pm? Consigning this show to late night - & also halving the output of Gid Coe - denudes the station of why it was originally devised. Where else will we be able to listen ‘live’ to such programming?
