Today we remember Arturo Vega, artistic director, designer, lighting director, t-shirt salesman, and one of the Ramones' most steadfast supporters, from the very beginning to the very end.

At the tail end of the Leave Home tour in 1977, Ramones kicked off the 1st of June with a show at Top Rank in Plymouth, on England's south coast. Originally booked at Wood Centre, the gig was moved to Top Rank to accommodate a larger capacity.
Today in 1977, Ramones played their first show at Friars Aylesbury, then known as Vale Hall, in Buckinghamshire, England. It was their 24th show on their 33 show tour in Europe with Talking Heads.
