@milcery but every character minus j*x and pomni (who hardly has any dimension herself) might as well not exist. gangle at least got a whole episode basically to herself but even then.........
@milcery i said this when I watched the movie but while i do enjoy the j*x stuff and am rotating that stupid rabbit in my brain it feels like stolen valor because i wish the show was longer/structured better to give the other characters the same spectacle
which made me think she actually came out over the course of the show but she didn't π i looked it up the other day and she's been out (or at least transitioning) since before 2020
i could swear that when tadc started i saw people referring to goosewΓ²rx with "they" and even "he" and then one day everyone HARD pivoted to only using "she"
@milcery i agree however to be fair this is kind of a product of every character minus j*x being incredibly one dimensional in canon. their three character traits are 1) has dysphoria 2) is mean to j*x 3) has an intimate relationship with gangle
@vannyshelly as in he'd probably do it but due to their bodies getting fixed up by caine when they sustain major bodily damage there wouldn't be any scars from it
@vannyshelly not explicitly shown in the show because i don't think you can have permanent injuries in the circus but he does seem like the type given that his major flaw is harming himself/others with reckless abandon because he doesn't think of others (or himself) as real people
whose existence the all powerful being considers essential to their existence to a codependent degree. and when their favorite Fucking Hates It. and when they're treated like a jester (though it's very much literal in pomni's case)
which leads to a tendency to stick themselves in a little bubble where time is static and they don't have to acknowledge any change or passage of time, even though many of them are still saying shit like "i'm a smol bean i can't adult" at 40 or older
yeah i know generation dividers are already nebulous concepts if you try to assign characteristics to them outside of "was born in the years xxxx to xxxx" (and even those assignments are contentious)
and tbh it's somewhat a product of how a lot of language and culture that's characteristic to millenials is passively self-infantalizing because they were raised by comparatively abrasive boomers/gen x and picked up the habit of taking up as little space as they could
